, PREFACE B EFORE ordering parts for your machine ,please read very carefully the instructions contained in the next paragraph . ln many cases the information given in the ord er is insufficient to enab le us to ident ify the customers ' require ments with certainty. Delay is frequent ly occasioned by our having to refer the order back for further part iculars before we can supply. HOW TO ORDER. Every part is indicated by a numbe r and this should be quoted togethe rwith t he description . ln order to assist customers, parts where possible have been listed in order of assembly and exploded il ustrat ions show the assembly order also. By each illustration, is an index quoting the part numbers of the various items and a cross reference to enable t he custo mer to recognise the part by descr iption (See page 55 for furt her deta ils). With these aids the re should be no difficulty in identifying the parts you require. Always quote the engine number and prefix lette r stamped on the left hand (drive side) of the crankcase below the cylinder base flange.
