INSTRUCTIONS FOR ORD ERING SPARE PARTS This Spare Parts List deals with rep lacement parts for Models ES2, 195 and SO of man ufact u re. lt is most essential th at the Engine and Frame Numb er of the machine is stat ed. The Engine Number is to be found on th e transmissio n side of th e Cr ankca se, and the Frame Num ber is st amped on the Head Lug of the Frame, below the ste ering damper anchor plate . lt is always advisable to order parts on a separa te shee t, and not to include on th e same sheet ot her matte r of a different nature ; th is facilita tes pr ompt despatc h. lt is found in a number of instanc es t hat money order s and post al or der s are sent in parcels containing patte rns ; this is inadvisable. We st rongly recomme ndparts as patte rns being despatched separately, and a cover ing lett er sent containing the remitta nce for replacement parts. RETURNING MAC HIN ES FO R OVERHA UL ING Wh en retur ning machines or part s for repair or overh aul, thes e shou ld be sent carriage paid, and with the sender' s name and address in full se cur ely att ached. lt is also advisable to st ate on the tally tha t a let ter has been sent resp ectin g the part s, and giving the date . All easil y deta ched fìttings shoul d be removed, such as Lamps, Horns, Tool Bags, Speedom ete rs, etc. ; these are liable to be lost or damaged in t ransit , and the Comp any cannot accept any responsibility for t hem. ESTIMATES FOR REPAIRING MACt-llN ES We are always prepar ed to give approximate esti mates for the cost of repairs ; it is quite impossible to give a firm quotat ion. Additiona l parts may be found necessary dur ing the process of rep air, unforesee n when prepa ring an esti mat e. Should our estimate for rep air not be accepte d, a charg e may be made in accordance with work entail ed in dismant ling and re-assembling. W hen we give an estimate for cost of repairs, and this is cur tailed by the owne r, we cannot accept any responsrb ility for the performance of the machine ; it is always prefe rable to accept our estimate in full. The exact amount , plus 5% to cover postage or carri age and packing (subject to a minimum of 6d.), packin g cases or cr ate s to be extra, must be remitted, or when the cost of the parts requir ed is unkn ow n, a sum likely to cove r the cost should be enclose d ; if the amount re mitte d is more th an the cost of the parts that are or dered ,the balance will be returned. This wil ensure goods to that value being despatched wit h the least possible delay.
