I r I SERVICE The Servic e and Repait· Depa rtm ent is situated in Burr ageGr ove, Plum st ea d,London, S.E.18. Burra geGrov e is the first turning on the left from Burrage Road when enter ing Burrage Road from the Plumstead Road. (See fìnjl paragraph below.) The nearest Railway Station is WOOLWICH ARSENAL, SOUTHERN REGION RAILWAY. This Station is five minutes' walk from our Service Depot ln Burrage Grove . There is an excel ent service of electric t rains from Char ing Cross, Vlaterloo , Cannon Street and London Bridge Stat ions, Souther n Region Railway. J Bus route s 53, 53a, 54, 99 and 122. Trolleybus routes, 696 and 698, and Tram rout es 36, 38 and 40, pass the end of Burrage Road (one minute from the Service Depot). Bus routes 21a, 75 and 161 and Tram routes 44, 46 and 72 serve Ber esford Square which is t hree minutes ' walk from the Servic e and Repair Dep artm ent. . Visitors from the Nort h can pass into Woo lwich via the Free Ferry .between Nor th Woolw ich and Woolwich. North Woolwic h is a Brit ish Railways term inus and is also served by Bus and Trolleybus routes IOI, 569, 669 and 685. There Is also a t unnel under the River Thames at this point for foot passengers . The Free Ferry accommodates all types of motor vehicles and t here is a very freque nt service. The Southern landing stage is less than a mile from t he Service Depot. . . Visitors arr iving by road, if t hey are st rangers to the locality, should enquire for Beresford Square, Woolwich. Upon arrival there ,the road skirt ing the Royal Arsenal should be followed in an Easterly dïrection for about four hundre d yards, and Burrage Road is t he second turning on the right after leaving t he square.
