A special packin g case, or crate, is requ ired for some spares to ensure free dom from damage in t ransit . ln such circums tanc es a special charge for the value of th e case, or crate, wil be made in addition to the 5 per cent . surc harge but th e speci al charge wilt be cred ite d in full if the cont ainer is promptly returned t o our fact ory carriage paid and in good condition . (d) The part of t he spares require d. (e) A des cription of eac h spare. (f) The quant ity required of each ite m. (g) How the spares ar e to be sent. (Post , Parce ls Post, Passenger tra in or Good s tra in.) (h) Your full name and address. These particulars are best written in BLOCK LETTERS. (i) Mention if, or not, you have an account wit h us. Unles s you have a deposit or ordi nary account, enclose a remittance to cover the cost of the spar es plus the 5 per cent . surcharge. (See paragra ph 3.) To ensure th e supply of cor rect spares it is essent ial we can iden t ify the machine for which they are requir ed. The ON LY WA Y to do tha t is for us to know the COMPLETE ENGINE and fr ame numbers . The engine number is sta mpe d on the left crankcase, unde r the cylinde r, and may have one or more letters incor por ated in it. THE CO MPLETE NUMBER MUST BE QUOTED. The frame number is stamp ed on the right -hand side of the fr ame lug that is belo w the saddle: (6) SERVICE.
