STATE :- (a) The Model of t he machine . (b) The compl ete engine num ber. (See paragraph 5.) (e) The frame numb er. (See paragraph 5.) (d) The part numb ersof th e spares requ ired. (e) A description of each spar e. (f) The quantity required of each item . (g) How th e spar esare to be sent. . (Post, Parcels Post, Passenger train or Goods train .) (h) Your full name and address. These parti culars are best wr itt enin BLOCK LETTERS. (i) Ment ion if, or not, you have an accountw ith Lis. · ALSO :- Unless you have a deposit or ordinary accoun t , enclose a remittance to cover the cost of the spares plus the five per cent. surcha rge. (See paragr aph 3.) . When cash is sent any excess will be refunded without prior app lication . NOTE :- Wh en sendi ng orders by telegram or cable do not omit your name and add ress from the message. (5) IDENTITY . To ensure the supply of correct spare sit is essential we can identify the machine or which they are required . The ONLY WAY to do that is for us to know the COMP LETE ENGINE and frame numbers. . · The engine number is stamped on the LEFT crankc ase, UNDER THE CYLINDER, and may have one or more let ters incorpo ra t ed in it. THE COMPLET E NUMBER MUST BE QUOTED. The frame number is stamped on the right-hand side of the frame lug that is below the saddle. (6) SERVICE. The SERVICE AND REPAIR DEPARTMENT is situ ated in BURRAGE GROVE , PLUMSTEAD , LONDON, S.E.18, and is open on Mondays to Fridays from 8.30 a.m. to 12.55 p.m.-2 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. lt is closed <;>n Satu rdays, Sund ays and Nationa lHolidays. . lt exists for the purpo seof :- (a) Giving technica lassistance verba llyor through the Post .
