TRIUMPH GUARANTEE 1. ln this Guarantee the word "machine" refers to the moto r cycle, scooter, mot or cycle combi nat ion or sidecar as the case may be, purchased by the Purchaser. 2. ln or der to obt ain the bene fit of this Guarantee, t he Purchaser must have cor rectly completed the registra tion form and returne d it to us within fourt een days of the purchase. 3. We will supply, free of charge, a new part in exchange for , or , if we consider repair sufficient, will repair free of charge any part· proved within six months of the date of- purc hase of any new machine, (thre e months overseas) or with in three months of its renewal or repair in t he case of a part already renew ed or repa ired, to be defect ive by reason of our faulty wor kmanship or materials. We do not underta ke to bear the cost of fitting such new or repaire d part or accessory. 4. Any part considered to be defect ive must be sent to our Works , carriage paid, accompanied by the following information:- · (a) Name of purchas er and his address; (b) Date of purchase of machine; (e) Name of dealer from who m the purchase was made; (d) Engine number and mode l. 5. This Guarante e shal not extend to defects or damage appearing after misuse, neglect, abnormal stress or stra in, or the incorporation or affixing of unsuitable attachme nts or part s and in parti cular:- (a) Hiring out; . ¡ b) Racing and Com peti t ions; c) Adaptat ion or alter ation of any part or parts after leaving our Works ; d) The att aching of a sidecar in a manne r not approved by us or to an unsu itable mot or cycle. This Guarantee shall not exten d to machines whose trade mark , name or manufacturi ng number has been altered or removed, or in which has been used any part not supplied or approved by us, or to tyres , saddles, chains, speedomet ers, revol ution counte rs and electr ical equipment or to parts supplied to the order of the Purchaser and differe nt from our standard spec ification. 6. Our liability and that of our dealer who sells t he machine, shall be limited to that set out in this gua rantee, and no ot her claims including claims for consequential damage or injury to person or pro perty, shall be admissible. All other condi tions and warr anties statutory or otherwise and whether express or implied are hereby excluded and no guar antee ot her than that expressly herein containe d applies to t he machine to which this Guarantee relate s or any accessory or part thereof . 7. We reserve the right to modify or deviate from the Published Specification without notice. REPAIRS GUARANTEE 1. Wh ilst t he highe st standard of workmanship and rnacerials is aimed at, we cannot accept liability for any defects appearing more than three months afte r the machine, assemb ly or compone nt has left our Works after being repaired. 2. We will repair or replace at our option free of charge any defect ive work , mater ials or part s relating to t he repairs carried out by us appe aring within that time but shall not be under any furt her or othe r liability for any other loss or damage whet her direct or consequential and our liability shall be limited to t he cost of so making good. We do not undertak e to bear the cost of fitt ing any replaceme nt or re pai red part . 3. We do not accept liability in respect of parts of proprietary manufacture, e.g. tyres, saddle s, chains, speedometers, revoluti on counters and elec trtcal equipment which may be used by us in effecting a repa ir. Al ot her conditions and warrant ies statuto ry or ot herwise express ed or implied are hereby exc luded. 2
