(I) TERMS OF BUSINESS. Our terms are :- CASH WITH ORDER, CASH AGAINST PRO-FORMA INVOICE, OR · APPROVED LEDGER ACCO UNT. Customers who wish to avoid delay can ope n depos it accounts and the usual dep osit is £5. Orders from abro ad should be accompanied by a remittance to cover the costs of goods and post al charges . · · · We do not send goods by "CASH ON DELIVERY" (C.O. D.). (2) PRICES AND SPECIFICATIONS. All prices, specifications and condit ions are subject to alteration without notice . The pr ices of spares do not include the costs of packing and carr iage. (3) CARRIAGE AND PACKING. All invoices . or spare parts wil be SURCHARGED by 5 PER CENT. to cove~ the cost cf packing . and post age, or carr iage, and the minimum surch arge is one shilling. (Home orders only ).. A special pack ing case, or crate, is requ ired for some spares to ensure freedom from damage in tra nsit . In such circumstances a special charge for the value ofthe case, or crate , will be made in addition to the 5 per cent. surcharge but the special 'char ge wil be cre dited in full if the cont ainer is prompt ly returned to our factory ·carri age paid and in good condition . (4) HOW TO ORDER SPARES. STATE: - (a) The Model of the machine. (b) The comp lete engine numbe r. (See paragrap h 5.) (c) The frame number. (See paragraph 5.) (d) The part of-the spares requ ired. (e) A descript ion of each spare . (f) The qua ntity required of each ite m. (g) How the spares are to be sent. (Post , Parcels Post , Passenger tr ain or Goods tra in.) (h) Your full name and address. Thes e particulars are best written in BLOCK LETTERS (i) Mention if, or not , you have an account with us. ALSO :- Unless you have a deposit or ord inary account, enclose a remit tance to cove r the · cost of the spares plus the 5 per cent . surcharg e. (See paragraph 3.) To ensure the supp ly of correct spares it is essent ial we can iden tify the machine for which they are required. The ONLY WAY to do that is for us t o know the COMP LETE ENGINE and frame numbers . The engine number is stamped on the left crankcase, under t he cylinder, and may have one or more letters incorpo rated in it. THE COMPLETE NUMBER MUST BE QUO TED. . . . . The. frame numbe r is stampe d on t he right-h ,~nd side of the frame lug that is below the saddle. (6) SERVICE . The SERVICE AND REPAIR DEPART MENT is situ ated in BURRAGE GRO VE, PLU MSTEAD, LONDON , S.E.18, and is open on Mondays to Fridays from 8.30 a.m. to 12.55 p.m.-2 p.rn . to 5.30 p.m. It is closed on Saturd ays, Sundays and Nat iona l Holidays. · It exist s for the purpose of :- (a) Giving technical assistance verba lly or through the Post.
