INSTRUCTION S FOR ORDER ING SPARE PARTS This Spar e Part s List deals with rep lacement par ts for 1956 Models 88 and 99 De Luxe Twin. lt is most essen tial that the Engine and Frame Number of the machine is stat ed. The Engine Number is to be found on the tr ansmission side of the Crankcase ,and the Frame Number is stampe d on the Head Lug of the Frame, below the steeri ng damper anchor plate ; the Model 88 De Luxe Frame Number is stam ped on the near side Rear Frame Gusset Plate . lt is always advisable to order part s on a separa t esheet, and not to includ e on the same sheet oth er matter of a different nat ure ; this facilitates prompt despatch . lt is found in a number of instances th at money orders and postal order s are sent in parcels conta ining patterns ; thi s is inadvisable. We strongly recommend parts as patterns being despatch ed separa tely, and a covering letter sent conta ining the remitta nce for rep lacement parts. RETU,RNI NG MACHI NES FOR OVERHAULING .\,;. ) . All easily deta ched fitt ings should be removed , such as Lamps, Horns, Tool Bags, Speedom eters, etc. ; these are liable to be lost or damaged in tr ansit, and the Comp any cannot accept any respons ibility for them. ESTIMA TES FOR REPAIR ING MACH INES We are always prepared to give approxim ate estim ates for the cost of re pairs; it is quite impossible t<:> give a firm quota tion. Addit iona l par ts may be found nece ssary dur ing the process of repair, unfo reseen when prep ar ing an est imate . Should our estim ate for repair not be accepte d, a charge may be made in accordance with work entailed in dismant ling and re-assembling. Wh en we give an est imate for t he cost of repair s,and this is curtail ed by the own er, we cannot accept any re spo nsibility for the per for mance of the machine¡ it is always preferable to accept our est imate in full. TERMS OF BUSI NES S Our terms are strict ly nett cash with orde r or cash against prepayme nt invoice . The ex act amount, plus 5% to cover postage or carriage and packing (subject to a minimum of 6d.), packing cases or crate s to be extra, must be remitt ed, or when the cost of the par ts requi red is unk nown , a sum likely to cover the cost should be enclosed ¡ if the amount remitted is more th an the cost of the par ts that are ordere d, the balance will be retur ned. When orderi ng by 'pho ne, wire or post, th is often avoids gre at inconv enience, and for the benefit of the depositor, a month ly statem ent of account is re ndered, show ing credit balance. Under no circumstan ces what ever can parts be despatched without remittance covering same has been sent , unless a deposit account is opened.
